Updated IP66, IP67 and IP69K-rated plastic enclosures support pole-mounted electronics in industrial environments exposed to dust, moisture and washdowns
BRIDGEVILLE, PA, UNITED STATES, October 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — ROLEC has expanded its technoPLUS range of pole-mountable plastic enclosures, designed for electronics deployed in industrial automation, IoT and IIoT applications. The enclosures are rated up to IP66, IP67 and IP69K for protection against dust ingress, water exposure and high-pressure washdowns.
The technoPLUS enclosures are intended for installation close to industrial processes, enabling electronics to be mounted directly on machine frames, production-line supports, conveyor systems, masts and similar structures.
Applications include IoT and IIoT edge devices such as LoRaWAN gateways, NB-IoT communications equipment, MQTT edge gateways, industrial data loggers, edge computing systems, telemetry units, wireless sensor hubs and remote PLC communications hardware.
The enclosure range is also suitable for a variety of factory automation systems, including remote I/O stations, machine condition monitoring equipment, industrial networking infrastructure, automated guided vehicle (AGV) and autonomous mobile robot (AMR) systems, machine vision installations, distributed PLC architectures, environmental monitoring devices and safety technology.
technoPLUS enclosures can be mounted vertically or horizontally. An optional pole and mast mounting accessory is available for use with plastic or metal straps. The mounting system allows installation with the enclosure lid closed, helping protect internal electronics and sealing components during installation or maintenance in demanding outdoor or industrial environments. Hinged polypropylene covers conceal lid screws and mounting channels.
The enclosure lid features a recessed area designed to accommodate membrane keypads, faceplates or product identification labels. Integrated lid supports hold the cover open during installation and servicing. Internal mounting features include screw bosses for printed circuit boards, together with optional mounting plates and terminal rails.
The enclosures are molded from UV-stable ASA material, rated UL 94 HB, and are supplied in light gray (RAL 7035) with anthracite gray (RAL 7016) cover trims. The range comprises five standard sizes, from 3.54″ × 5.12″ × 2.76″ up to 6.69″ × 10.63″ × 3.54″.
